Open computer-use models are trained largely on synthetic interactions and scraped screen captures. Donated Screencap recordings provide what those can’t: real workflows, contributed deliberately. Each donation is reviewed frame-by-frame by its owner and scrubbed of names, faces, and sensitive data before joining the public dataset. Contribution is off by default and always per-recording.
The entire application is on GitHub — capture engine, encryption, agent, anonymizer. For software with this level of access, claims should be verifiable in the source, not taken on trust.
